The research in Comillas

One of the pioneers in Spain, it was founded by Fr Javier Gafo in 1987 with the aim of shedding light on the moral problems raised by advances in the biomedical sciences.

It aims to promote research on regulations, jurisprudence, and practice relating to minors, as well as provide training and in-depth study of the different situations affecting childhood and adolescence.

It aims to attract women to STEM studies as a social necessity that seeks to reduce the gender gap that currently exists and achieve a more egalitarian society.

With the collaboration of companies in the energy sector and social agents, the Chair was created, making it a privileged area from which to give coherence to studies, legislative proposals, training and dissemination actions that contribute to the mitigation and, ideally, the eradication of this problem in our country.

It was created in 2003 from the growing concern within the University, for the energy problem, aiming to serve as a meeting point between companies and institutions for debate and reflection on the problem of energy sources.

The Chair was created in conjunction with the AON Foundation, becoming a privileged area from which to give coherence to studies and research, training and dissemination activities in this area.
