4 October 2024
The Rector, Antonio Allende, SJ, inaugurated the exhibition "120 Years: Theology and Canon Law at Comillas. Tradition, rigour and modernity (1904-2024)", where he referred to the importance of the trajectory of the faculties and highlighted the importance of their contribution to the training of people committed to the transformation of society. In his speech, Ángel Cordovilla, professor of dogmatic theology, reviewed the different stages that the university has gone through over the last 120 years.
The exhibition, which will be on display from the 1st to the 31st of October in the lobby of Alberto Aguilera, 23, includes some thirty copies belonging to the bibliographic heritage of our university. The volumes have been selected by professors from both faculties and aim to bring the university community closer to the material produced and taught in the classrooms of Comillas since the end of the 19th century. The exhibition will be on display at the Cantoblanco Campus Library from 5 November to 4 December.
Among those attending the event were the Dean of Theology, Francisco Ramírez, SJ, director of the exhibition; Pedro F. Castelao, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Theology and coordinator of the project; and María Puy, Director of the Library.
The documents on display can be consulted on the Library's website, as well as being available in PDF format.
