14 March 2024
Until 20 March, the clerestory of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Comillas ICADE) is hosting the exhibition Heura by the NGO Treball Solidari funded by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda, which brings together the stories of 17 migrant women entrepreneurs, portrayed by the photographer Martina Matencio and the videographer Joan Martínez in their working environments.
The exhibition, an initiative of Comillas Solidaria that is part of the activities organised by the university to celebrate Women's Month, seeks to highlight the stories of these women, from very diverse origins and who, in a situation of vulnerability and risk of social and financial exclusion, have managed to start their own businesses thanks to the support of entities from the tertiary sector and a key tool for social and financial integration: micro-credits.
The inauguration of the exhibition, which is open to the entire university community, brought together some of the protagonists of the photographs, who toured the exhibition guided by the president of Treball Solidari, Toni Sierra, and who were received by the vice-rector of the faculty, Javier Márquez, representatives of Comillas Solidaria and the Chair of Social Impact.
Find out some of the stories of these women in this video.
