A new spectacular and intimate edition of the moving tribute to the Yu'pik Eskimos, offered by our Professor Bert Daelemans, took place last Tuesday, 18 June, in the exquisite rooms of the residence of the nuns of María Inmaculada, one of Madrid's best kept secrets.
The event was attended by Professor Daelemans, together with Adelaida Gil Martínez, from the Cervantes Institute, and the actor and performer El primo de Saint Tropez.
If last year the focus was on tango, which took place in the ICADE church, this new marriage of simplicity and depth continued the established tradition of delicately intertwining poetry, music and tenderness.
Professor Bert Daelemans holds a PhD in Theology from the Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology and is a recognised expert in art and aesthetic theology, among other disciplines. His works include On the Banks of the Yukon. Encounters in Alaska (Fragmenta 2020) and The Embrace in Art. A Spiritual Journey (PPC 2023).
