Comillas Espiritualidad and Comillas Arte offered the university community a different kind of space for prayer, with songs, music, food and bread kneading. "OrArte, oración en torno al pan" brought together various groups on different days at Alberto Aguilera and at the "San Juan de Dios" School of Nursing and Physical Therapy.

According to the organisers, the meeting was based on the idea of moving away from everyday life to find spaces for prayer, but at the same time making everyday life a space for prayer.

The activity began with a reflection on food as the result of the effort of our hands, recalling the importance and symbolism of Bread as the fruit of the earth and of work, and the sharing of Bread as a symbol of community.

Afterwards, some of the traditions of the Spanish countryside were introduced, specifically the songs that were sung during the kneading process. This gave rise to a space for individual and community prayer between songs, which ended with a simple Lenten meal around bread, wine and oil.
