Chair in Children's Rights
The Chair in Children's Rights aims to promote research into regulations, jurisprudence and practice relating to minors, as well as training and in-depth study of the different situations that affect children and adolescents. From this knowledge, we want to form a critical judgement capable of offering itself to society and being a driving force for change and evolution.

Who we are
The Chair in Children's Rights was created in 2008 with the following objectives:
Study and reflection on the situation of children and adolescents in Spain and the world, thus contributing to the realisation of the rights recognised in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Meeting between the different social agents that intervene in the systems of protection and reform of children, favouring debate between specialists and the exchange of ideas between Society and the University.
Research that combines theoretical reflection with the development and dissemination of viable practical alternative proposals in the protection and reform systems.
Promotion of good practices in relation to children.
Raising awareness in society to promote respect for the rights of children and adolescents.
Collaboration in the training of jurists in issues related to children and adolescents.
We are a team of jurists specialised in different areas of law, both university professors and researchers, and other professionals in the field of childhood, who, through our work, try to achieve the objectives of the Chair.
In addition, we are supported by an Advisory Board, composed of experts in juvenile law.
