Comillas held the Comillas Cast Fest, a meeting that transformed the university into a radio studio. Throughout the day, through different presentations, round tables and programmes, the event dealt with everything related to the world of podcasts: from its educational application to its use as a tool for dissemination or entertainment.

Afterwards, two round tables offered a comprehensive view of the possibilities of podcasts. The first, dedicated to its use as an educational resource, was moderated by the Office of Support for Teaching Innovation (OAID) and included experts such as Raúl Terol, founder of EDUCAST, and representatives of innovative projects at the university, such as Comillas lecturers Carlos Hernández, Nereida Bueno and Sonia Ferruz. Also participating in this conversation was Elena Carrillo, a student of the Dual Degree in International Relations (Bilingual) and International Communication / Bachelor in Global Communication (RRII-COM), who shared her experience with this educational tool.

The second round table analysed the podcast as a tool for dissemination and brought together prominent figures, such as Molo Cebrián, creator of Entiende tu mente, a podcast that won the Premio Ondas Globales del Podcast in 2022; Alejandro Mejías and Eva Núñez, students at the Carlos III University and heads of Sonora UC3M, and Teresa Salinas, head of Comillas Cast.

The morning concluded with a live session of Comillas Cast Live, where the voices of the university took centre stage. Teresa Salinas introduced the programme with a reflection, in the form of fiction, on the importance of knowledge transfer, and the versatility of the podcast as a tool for fulfilling this function. Next, the anecdotes of the ComillaZ programme began, where Livia Espinosa and Emma Alías, presenters and members of the Communication Service, talked with Alberto Río and Ricardo Poblaciones, presenters of El día a día and students at Comillas ICAI, as well as with Francisco Izuzquiza, member of La Escóbula de la Brújula. After them, the podcast El mundo está loco, loco, loco tackled climate change and the importance of climate summits. Its presenter, Juan Manuel Daganzo, dealt with this topic together with the lecturers and experts on the subject, Carlos de Miguel Perales, from Comillas ICADE, and María del Mar Cledera, from Comillas ICAI.

The day continued in the Aula Magna, with the live recording of the renowned podcast La Escóbula de la Brújula, included in the Podium Podcast catalogue, with more than half a million monthly listeners. Under the theme "Conexión España-Japón: Historia de la relación entre ambos países", Jesús Callejo and his team offered a session full of historical curiosities about the relationship between the two territories from ancient times to the present day. Ana Trujillo, lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Comillas CIHS) also participated in this episode.

Comillas Cast Fest was a day of disseminating knowledge and learning in a space for reflection and entertainment. A clear reflection of the diversity that Comillas offers, but if you couldn't come, stay tuned! Soon you will be able to listen to everything that happened during the day.
