Many members of the university community had the opportunity to enjoy the Spanish premiere of Sol Invictus, the latest creation by the Algerian-French choreographer Hervé Koubi. The Sala Roja of the Teatros del Canal hosted a show, packed to the rafters, which celebrated life and unity through movement through contemporary dance.

The choreography combined reminiscences of hip hop, break dance, pirouettes and symbolic gestures, creating an experience that transported us back to childhood to explore the mysteries of existence and unconditional love. For an hour and a half, the eighteen dancers, from all over the world, offered an overwhelming physical delivery that transformed us, just like the title of the show itself: Invictus.
Without a doubt, this show reminded us that dance is a universal language capable of connecting souls and emotions, making us participants in its energy and meaning.
