Comillas ICAI and Iberdrola support access to university for talented students

The Iberdrola Foundation has just renewed the agreement with Comillas Pontifical University under which the entity will financially assist engineering students who do not have the necessary economic resources to pay for their university studies, but who stand out for their talent, abilities or academic record. This year, eleven scholarships will be offered. Since 2014 they have awarded 85 scholarships in which more than 600,000 euros have been invested.

The collaboration agreement was signed at a ceremony presided over by the vice-rector for Alumni and Students, Belén Urosa Sanz; the president of Fundación Iberdrola España, Fernando García; and the director of Fundación Iberdrola España, Ramón Castresana. With this agreement, the entities reinforce their objective of promoting the transfer of knowledge and strengthen the relationship between private companies and educational centers to promote the transformation towards a sustainable energy model. 

The Iberdrola ICAI scholarships offer students two types of programmes: the Scholarships and Grants Programme - which finances university studies for students with limited financial resources and who meet the criteria set by Comillas ICAI - and the Grants Programme for the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, which offers students with a good academic record in the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or some of the related programmes the possibility of accessing a full scholarship on the tuition fees for their studies.
