2 September 2024
Sergio Jiménez Romero and Jacobo Banús, 2nd year students of the degree in Mathematical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (IMAT), were recognised with honourable mentions in the 31st edition of the IMC (International Mathematics Competition). A hard-fought and exciting tournament in which more than 400 students from 78 universities from all over the world took part.
In the case of Sergio and Jacobo, this edition was their second participation in the competition, for which they had to pass a selection test among the best students in the first years of Comillas ICAI. However, Comillas had more representation in the IMC with the participation of Alejandro Martínez de Guinea, a student in the 4th year of the degree in Mathematical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (IMAT), Antonio de Benito, a student in the 2nd year of the degree in Mathematical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (IMAT), and Jorge García Llerena, a student in the 2nd year of the degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering (GITI).
The students were supported by lecturers David Alfaya, Pedro Ciller and Javier Rodrigo to prepare for the competition. Without a doubt, it was a great group effort that was well worth it, and congratulations to all the participants!
