The Comillas Pontifical University has more than a hundred years of educational tradition, pioneer in the innovation of many studies that are now common in other universities. The first double degree in Spain - Lawand Business Administration and Management (E-3)- was created here in 1960, and the first degree in International Relations, for example, was born more than ten years ago. Comillas was the first university to offer remote teaching just the day after confinement thanks to the digitalisation of its systems, and it is the only non-public university to be approved by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), which guarantees the optimum quality of the programmes offered.

Tradition and innovation come together to continue the educational heritage of the Society of Jesus, and this is reflected in the different rankings published each year. Comillas is the leading university in Spain in the field of "Teaching and Learning" according to the CYD ranking; it is the best positioned Spanish university in the "Reputation among employers" indicator of the QS World ranking, where it is also Top 100 internationally in the "actions for employment" indicator, and it is placed in the Top 10 at European level in international exchanges according to the QS Europe ranking.

"At Comillas we want to contribute to the common good through the positive impact generated by our graduates, both as excellent professionals and as committed citizens. We are also committed to cutting-edge research, aimed at creating knowledge and offering solutions to the challenges of our society. For this reason, we take care of the comprehensive training of our students and encourage the growth and knowledge transfer of our teaching and research staff", says Mariano Ventosa, Vice-Rector for Faculty, Research and Artificial Intelligence at Comillas Pontifical University.

Knowledge transfer, research, internationalisation, training, teaching and professional insertion are just some of the things that characterise Comillas. And the data speak for themselves: in ten years, the number of indexed publications has multiplied by three and the number of professors with six-year periods has doubled in the last five years. In addition, in the last six years the Jesuit university in Madrid has seen a 60% increase in income from competitive projects and projects with companies. In this sense, Ventosa emphasises that "both in the ratios of publications per teaching and research staff, sexenios per teaching and research staff doctor and income from projects, as well as in all others related to research, we amply exceed the requirements of RD 640".

All in all, Comillas is also positioned in relevant positions in different national and international rankings:

- CYD Ranking. It recognises Comillas as one of the Spanish universities with the best performance, standing out in "Teaching and Learning" (national leader) and "International Orientation" (third in Spain).

- QS World University Ranking. It highlights the high reputation of our graduates among employers (National leader and Top in the world). This ranking also positions Comillas as one of the best international universities in actions towards employment and employability of its graduates (second in Spain and Top in the world).

- Times Impact Ranking. Highlights Comillas' commitment to social progress and justice and stands out in SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth (national leader and world TOP).

- QS Europe Ranking. The internationalisation of our students is another priority. This ranking places Comillas in the European Top 10 in international student mobility.

- QS Ranking by Subject. In terms of subjects, this ranking includes our university among the best in the world in five areas: Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies; Law&Legal Studies; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Business&Management Studies; Economics&Econometrics and Social Sciences&Management. In this ranking, the university's position in Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies (national leader and Top in the world) is particularly outstanding.
