This project begins with two episodes focusing on de-Westernisation and the situation in Russia, respectively
1 October 2024
Brújula Global, created by the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Comillas CIHS, and directed by lecturer Emilio Sáenz-Francés, aims to explore the world and its challenges from the perspective of international relations. Throughout its episodes, the programme will offer conversations with experts in the field, addressing key issues in the current global panorama.
The first episode explores the concept of de-Westernisation, a trend that reflects the decline of Western influence in global politics. In the second episode, the podcast focuses on the current situation in Russia, a major player on the international geopolitical stage. Together with Mira Milosevich, senior researcher at the Elcano Royal Institute, Emilio examines the political, social and economic changes that have shaped Russia in recent years, as well as their impact on the global balance of power.
Published fortnightly, Brújula Global will not only seek to inform, but also to generate a space for reflection on international challenges. This project is part of Comillas' commitment to the dissemination of knowledge and the training of professionals capable of facing today's global challenges.
The podcast will be available on the main platforms, inviting both the university community and the general public to join the conversation on these and other relevant topics.
