The ONCE Foundation and Comillas have signed an agreement that aims to implement initiatives to improve equal opportunities, universal accessibility, inclusion and non-discrimination of all people with disabilities within the university community, also promoting socially responsible public procurement.

Both institutions will collaborate in raising awareness, training students to detect the needs and demands of people with disabilities in the university community, in relation to equal opportunities, the removal of barriers to study at the university and the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labour market. In this sense, volunteer actions for students will be explored.

Likewise, they will work to promote greater access to university for young people with disabilities and they will jointly reinforce academic guidance programmes, specifically aimed at students with disabilities, in order to make better use of their talent.

Comillas will study the design of training programmes, as well as protocols, materials and pedagogical and training guides for teaching staff and will participate in the University Guide for Students with Disabilities developed by the ONCE Foundation. Furthermore, it will promote research and studies related to equal opportunities, disability and universal accessibility and design for all, as well as the improvement of the quality of life of people with disabilities.
