Summer course: Fundamentals of Business Analytics
TheIntroduction to Business Analytics course is designed to provide students with a practical and comprehensive understanding of the key tools and methodologies of data analytics in the business environment. Over the course of three intensive weeks, participants will be introduced to the strategic role of data in the digital transformation, will address basic concepts of statistics, visualisation and machine learning, and will explore real-world applications in areas such as marketing, operations or finance.
The course combines a visual and non-code approach using tools such as Orange, with an accessible introduction to Python programming. The last week includes the development of a tutored final project, allowing the knowledge acquired to be applied to a practical case with business impact.
Dates: From 30 June to 16 July 2025.
Mode: Face-to-face from 30 June to 11 July; from 14 to 16 July with flexibility to work on the final project either face-to-face or remotely.
Why study this course?
This course provides comprehensive training in the key skills of data analytics and Business Analytics, essential to address the challenges of the digital business environment. Through a practical and accessible approach, students will learn to use visual tools and be introduced to Python programming to apply data analytics and machine learning techniques in real-world situations. - Requirements: students who are studying for a degree, preferably between the second and third year. If the course is taught in English, a minimum B2 certificate in this language will be required.
