Comillas hosted the conference "Art, Technique, Health and Intelligence", organised by its Department of Philosophy and Humanities, and by Hercritia, the International Research Chair in Critical Hermeneutics and Aesthetics at UNED. The event was attended by leading academics from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, the UNED and the University of Turin.
Participants discussed various perspectives related to the dangers and opportunities that technology presents in our time, as well as exploring historical contexts that have influenced the current context. The presentations and panel discussions offered an in-depth and multifaceted analysis of the impact of technology on art, health and intelligence.
The atmosphere of the congress was particularly stimulating, characterised by the diversity and richness of the debates. "The interaction between lecturers and students from the three universities allowed for a unique confluence of knowledge and experiences, underlining the importance of interdisciplinary and international collaboration," says Ricardo Pinilla, director of the Department of Philosophy at Comillas.
This conference not only represented an opportunity for the professional and academic development of the participants, but also to strengthen the ties between the institutions involved, opening doors to future collaborations and joint research.
"We thank all the speakers and attendees for their participation and contribution to such a successful and productive event. We look forward to continuing to be a meeting point for the exchange of ideas and high-level knowledge on future occasions," says Angelo Valastro, lecturer in Philosophy at Comillas.
