Gabino Uríbarri Bilbao, professor at the Faculty of Theology and member of the International Theological Commission, took part in the plenary session of the Commission in Rome from 25 to 29 November.
On the 28th Pope Francis received the members of the Commission. At this audience he gave a speech, basically addressed to the international theological community, which revolved around two points. First, the Pope stressed the need to put Christ at the centre, alluding to the anniversary of the Council of Nicaea which will be celebrated in the coming year (325-2025). Secondly, Francis delved into the theology of synodality, after the first step of the synodal assembly on synodality and the whole ecclesial and theological movement it has generated.
