The Kairos Programme, promoted by UNIJES (Network of university centres linked to the Society of Jesus) and managed by Comillas through its Graduate School and Lifelong Learning, celebrated the presentation of diplomas to the students of its second graduating class. An emotional ceremony in which the thirteen graduating students received their stoles and diplomas from the Vice-Rector for Students and Alumni, Belén Urosa, and the directors of the programme, Javier Moreno and Pedro Galatas.

During his intervention, Urosa acknowledged that Kairós gives the opportunity to do things differently. "There comes a time in life when you have to pull from within and be more present," she said. "This programme makes us stop and reflect on the possibilities we have to do things we want to do, to enjoy, to seek personal satisfaction, to help others and to live a totally different stage of life," she said.
The programme directors, visibly moved, also addressed a few words to their students. "This is a programme for people, with people at the centre," said Pedro Galatas. Javier Moreno, for his part, thanked the students for their commitment to a challenge that he described as "personal". "We are very excited to continue and start with the 3rd promotion, but it will be difficult to reach the level of this one", he acknowledged.
Vanessa Boeta spoke on behalf of the students. "We have undergone a vital transformation, because in addition to having reviewed our whole life, our achievements and failures, we have built a story of who we are and what is the path we want to continue on. The programme has opened our eyes and allowed us to move from being to being present" she said.
The Kairos programme is an opportunity for people who, faced with a life change such as (pre-) retirement, want to reflect and discover the fullness of a life of commitment, solidarity and meaning.
