Comillas held the ninth edition of the Hackathon For Smart Industry organised by the Comillas ICAI Chair for Smart Industry, where undergraduate and postgraduate students faced the challenge of applying their creativity and technical skills to solve industry problems. This year's challenge, promoted by ACERINOX, S.A., was presented by Pedro Irastorza, assistant to the CEO of the Stainless Division in Europe, and Antonio Gayo, Strategy Director. This challenge, focused on exploiting to the maximum the potential of stainless steel, tested the ingenuity of the eight participating teams, who responded with disruptive and transforming proposals.

The jury had a complex decision due to the high quality of the solutions presented, which culminated in a historical fact: instead of three, four proposals were awarded, including a second prize. This additional recognition, the first in the history of the CIC Comillas ICAI Hackathon, highlights the excellence and feasibility of the solutions proposed, which seek to revolutionize the way in which ACERINOX, S.A. reaches its customers and satisfies their needs in the market.
