On the 1st of November, in Valladolid, the Professor of the Faculty of Theology , Nurya Martínez-Gayol, was in charge of deepening the theme of authority in Religious Life with the superiors of the Congregation of the Disciples of Jesus.
Her talk was entitled "Authority today", delving into the context of Religious Life and having as a background the call to Synodal conversion that the Church makes to us and the painful situation of abuses.
Professor Nurya Martínez-Gayol Fernández holds a PhD in Theology from the Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology, and is an expert, among other disciplines, in reconciliation and reparation, abuse and authority. Among her most recent publications is the article "Revisitando la obediencia. Ante los abusos de poder en la vida consagrada" (Estudios Eclesiásticos, vol. 99, no. 388).
