The Bachelor's Degree in Theology (Master's) is the postgraduate study (Master in Theology), which presupposes the knowledge and skills acquired in previous studies (Bachelor's Degree in Theology; Master in Divinity and equivalents). The Faculty offers four specialisations in face-to-face mode: Dogmatic-Fundamental Theology, Sacred Scripture, Moral and Pastoral Theology and Spiritual Theology.
This officially recognised Master's degree is offered in classroom mode over two academic years. We present the speciality in Sacred Scripture:
Francesco Cocco, Director of the specialisation in Sacred Scripture, presents "the jewel in the crown" of the specialisations, since it provides a high level of training in biblical languages, Hebrew and Greek, in order to move on to the study of the soul of Theology: Sacred Scripture. Exegesis and interpretation are supported by a wide range of monographic courses with the best experts in each biblical Book, literary genre or theme, as well as its dialogue with Theology, pastoral and ecclesial life.
The Faculty of Theology at Comillas Pontifical University, with more than 120 years of commitment to academic and research excellence in service to the Church, has been recognised as a leader in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, positioning it as the first Faculty of Theology in Spain and 29th worldwide. The Dean, Francisco Ramírez, SJ, points out that studying at Comillas involves personalised accompaniment for the student, as part of the institutional commitment that is the Bachelor's Degree in Theology.
