Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage. Culture,

What is the Master in Cultural Heritage. Culture, Identity, Innovation?
This is a new and unexplored concept in the educational offer of Spanish universities, which refers to the enhancement of the value of tangible and intangible heritage and its relationship with nature. The differentiating character of our proposal lies in the incorporation into university teaching of the evolution in the concept of cultural heritage, which is replaced by that of integral heritage, which introduces the valuation of the natural environment and spirituality within culture and heritage identity, providing an innovative perspective.
This notion must be embraced through a multidisciplinary vision that links the humanities (history, literature, art, music, architecture, cultural anthropology, etc.) with other disciplines and tools (marketing, telematic engineering, computing, management, legislation, etc.), facilitating the consideration of integral heritage as an economically sustainable asset in the 21st century and a source of innovation. In this interdisciplinary conception, it is necessary to bear in mind the importance of communication and digital technology in the correct dissemination of knowledge and valuation of heritage.

Syllabus

Objectives
The main objective of the master's degree is to promote the connection between the on-site industry of tourism, leisure, education, publishing, exhibitions, etc., and the growing virtual industry in the cultural field (augmented reality applications, AI, etc.). It is also attractive to practising professionals (secondary school teachers, textbook publishers, specialists in communication and journalism, etc.) who want to increase their cultural knowledge of integrated heritage, as well as update their professional work with new trends and methodologies.
The master's degree is intended to be professionalising for graduates who want to work in a sector that is booming and in which there has been an exponential change with the contribution of new technological resources.
It is the will of this programme to have professionals who collaborate in the teaching, so that the practical orientation of the academic contents can be emphasised and favour the updating of knowledge or its orientation to the working environment.
