Master's Degree in Social Work in the Health Sector

Training in social work as a key discipline in a holistic and humanistic approach to health and social and health care.

What can the Master offer you?

The Official Master's Degree in Social Work in the Health Sector at Universidad Pontificia Comillas aims to train social workers with specialized education that enhances the biopsychosocial perspective of health. Currently, the profound changes and specialization of social work services in the healthcare field require specific knowledge to advance the excellence of professional practice, integrating healthcare and social aspects through a direct intervention logic with citizens.

This Master's program is distinguished from other educational offerings by being the first Official Master's Degree in social work in the health sector to offer a blended learning experience, combining in-person teaching (classes on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings) with learning through new information and communication technologies that allow students to adapt their training to their own schedules and learning paces. It is offered by a university with an unparalleled tradition and experience like Universidad Pontificia Comillas in training professionals in the field of social work. Professional internships will take place in the morning and/or afternoon, once all theoretical classes have concluded in May or July. We offer a faculty of professors who are references in their professional fields, providing a multidisciplinary perspective on training and intervention in health.
