On 9 March, the 18th Christian Faith and Service to the World Meeting took place in Madrid, organised by the Maior Foundation. In this edition, the day focused on the figure of the French theologian Henri de Lubac, whose cause for beatification was introduced a year ago.
Among the main speakers were the Cardinal Emeritus of Lyon, Philippe Barbarin, who gave testimony of his relationship with Lubac himself, as well as our professor of the Faculty of Theology, Samuel Sueiro, PhD, who spoke about the method and the great themes of Lubac's thought, also delving into the person, work and reception.
The presentation of the book Teologías de ocasión, published in Spanish by the Biblioteca de Autores Cristianos and the Fundación Maior, was also held, preceded by an extensive study by Professor Sueiro.
Various media have echoed this meeting, such as Ecclesia COPE or 'Alfa y Omega'.
Professor Samuel Sueiro Expósito holds a PhD in Theology, belongs to the Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology and is a recognised expert, among other disciplines, in the Theology of Henri de Lubac.
