Career opportunities and graduate profile
The professional opportunities are all those that allow graduates to develop, as lawyers, substantial litigation or procedural activity in law firms and legal boutiques, but also those that cover the entire spectrum of the provision of legal assistance, and therefore, internal and external legal advice to companies, in civil, bankruptcy, criminal, contentious-administrative and labour matters.
The Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession provides access to the legal profession in accordance with the provisions of Law 34/2006 and Royal Decree 64/2023.
With regard to the graduate profile of the master's degree, this profile is defined by the competences that are intended to be achieved through the master's degree. The graduate has obtained through the program knowledge, skills and tools specific to the legal profession, from the perspective of knowing how to operate in a very specific area of the legal professions such as the legal profession, with special emphasis on the main instruments and techniques of action in this profession, such as argumentation, communication, public speaking, writing and negotiation and the use of new technologies in this area, and on procedural strategy, litigation and alternative dispute resolution systems. In the field of legal practice, students will master the essential tools for the exercise of this profession in all procedural areas (civil, criminal, administrative litigation, and labor), and especially, they will develop the skills required for the digital submission and collection of documents and communications through LEXNET.
Academic Opportunities
In addition, the Master's Degree in Access to Law and Legal Practice allows access to an official doctoral program in accordance with current regulations.

Because Comillas studies are in high demand and places are limited, the best candidates have to be selected through admission tests.
Each class has its own tutor, whose function is to integrate the student into the group and to pay attention to their academic performance. Furthermore, at Comillas, the teaching system is distinguished, among other characteristics, by the personalised attention and the fluid and permanent relationship between teachers and students.
The teaching system at Comillas is especially oriented towards the relationship with the reality of companies, institutions, organisations and professional practice. The Internship and Employment Office is responsible for providing students with internships related to their studies in order to enrich their training. In the 2017-18 academic year, 6,296 student internships were managed in companies.
In addition to these internships managed by the Internship and Employment Office, all degree courses have a significant number of compulsory external internships as part of their curriculums.The Internship and Employment Office informs, guides and collaborates in the insertion in the labour market of recent graduates or in the projection of the professional careers of Comillas graduates, for which it has an online tool that directly connects candidates with 5,078 companies with which Comillas maintains a relationship. During the 2017-18 academic year, 1,838 job offers were managed. Of the total number of graduates from the 2018 graduating class, 93.22% are employed, either working or furthering their studies, within six months of completing their studies.
