What is the Master?

The Master's Degree in General Health Psychology and Master's Degree in Psychology with a Specialisation in Therapeutic Psychology is aimed at graduates and undergraduates in Psychology who wish to acquire skills in assessment, diagnosis and intervention in the field of health psychology, and who wish to do so from a plural perspective that takes into account different empirically contrasted approaches. This plural training in the main theoretical approaches to psychology will provide students with a complete, global and integrative training when it comes to approaching and intervening in the area of clinical and health psychology.

In the second year, the program offers a wide range of optional subjects allowing students to choose a training itinerary that will enable them not only to complete the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology, but also to specialise in an area of clinical intervention and obtain the Master's Degree in Therapeutic Specialisation.

In the second year, students can specialize in one of the itineraries that correspond to the four Master's Degrees we offer: Master in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with Children and Adolescents, Master in Experiential Humanistic Psychotherapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, Master in Contemporary Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, or Master in Systemic Family Therapy.

The systemic training at Comillas has provided me with a solid working model from which to approach intervention, taking into account issues such as gender and culture or social exclusion.

Marta Guerra

This master's degree has given me the training and experience I needed to be able to work in the profession I wanted with confidence in my abilities. Thanks to the teachers and the internships I left this programme with the tools and motivation to work fearlessly with children and adolescents.

In this master's degree I have been able to learn in depth about different schools of psychotherapy from different teachers, not only from theory, but also based on their real clinical experience. In addition to doing internships where they really let you practice to begin to understand what psychotherapy really is.
