Official Master's Degree in Philosophy: Human Condition and Transcendence
It deals with the human in a radical way, with its lights and shadows.
What is the University Master's Degree?
In the complex world in which we live, more and more diverse and sometimes opposing answers are emerging to the question of meaning. There are those who maintain the absence of meaning, as opposed to those who impose a single way of understanding it and of approaching the human condition. Without falling into relativism, Philosophy has the task of opening paths for dialogue and critical reflection on the multiplicity of existing perspectives.
The Master's Degree in Philosophy: Human Condition and Transcendence proposes to think about the human in a radical way, with its lights and shadows, trying to critically analyse what answers can be given to the various crises of meaning that we are facing today. With this aim, the Master in Philosophy explores the major contributions of philosophical anthropology, ethics, aesthetics, the phenomenology of religion, the philosophy of science and language and metaphysics, to encourage the development of a renewed and deep understanding of the human condition and the possibilities of its opening to transcendental analytics.

Thanks to the Master's Degree, I have broken down barriers that I didn't know existed, to the point that it has transformed my life. Not only has it allowed me to broaden my competences and areas of action as a secondary school teacher, but I am also a better colleague and professional. I am indebted to my teachers, among whom I already have true friends.

Graduate profile:
Students who take this Master's degree acquire the necessary skills so that, from different professional fields (teaching, publishing, cultural management, journalism, intercultural dialogue...), they can take up the challenge of thinking about the human in a radical way, with its lights and shadows, trying to critically analyse what answers can be given to the various crises of meaning in the world in which we live.
At present, Spain does not offer a Master's degree that covers the contents described here in this way. The profile of other postgraduate studies is either practical (focused on the areas of Ethics and Politics), or theoretical, focused on the Theory of Knowledge (Analytical Philosophy, Logic, Theory of Argumentation...), or historical (Philosophy of History, Spanish Thought...). The Master's Degree in Philosophy aims to bring together these perspectives and enable students to develop original and responsible research in this sense, with new and interdisciplinary approaches, committed to their social and work context and capable of being developed and applied in situations that pose new problems.
